$2,200.00
This is a S&W 9mm Automatic, manufactured in 1956. This was Smith & Wesson's first pistol in what became their long running flagship double action pistol line. Extremely scarce example of the pistol which would be later known as the Model 39. I have not shot this pistol in the time I've owned it, and as the pictures show any previous owners likely shot it minimally if any.
This pistol shows early features including the short safety/decocker, short tang, and long extractor. Correct grips without a clearance notch added for the later long safety lever.
Pistol includes both pictured early 8-round magazines. It comes with an original box which is in good condition but which numbers to a slightly earlier Pre-39 as well as an original, Correct, and hard to find instruction manual. One of ~1600 produced, this 9mm Automatic is a scarce handgun - and a difficult pistol to source.
I live in New Braunfels & commute to Austin. Happy to answer any questions. My phone number is 503 338 9871. Pistol is also listed on Gunbroker.
