I impulsively acquired a new 336BL and have realized I already have too many lever action rifles. This 336BL rifle has literally had 14 rounds down it (to test sighting and hammer spring tension. I have retained the brass), otherwise it is brand spankin new. I modified the hammer spring with a Palo Verde Gunworks Marlin spring kit, so trigger pull is down to 4lbs now. If you want, the original, beastly 9lb pull, the original spring will come with it. I am also including 46 rounds of Winchester Deer Season XP polymer-tipped, 150gr rounds. Slap a sling and inexpensive scope on this and you're ready for deer season!
Not really interested in trades, but I'm looking for a Marlin Cowboy 45-70 (long barrel).
P.S. - Although this model is not "JM" stamped, it is a very recent construction, and reflects the significant changes that Remington has made to the quality of the Marlin line in the last couple years. This thing was absolute BUTTER right from the start. I've done gunsmithing on many Marlins across the years, and these newer Marlins exhibit the same (if not better) quality as the old "JM" stamped Marlins did.
