Listing up my S&W 586 (No Dash) Revolver for sale. This is chambered in .357 magnum and can also take .38 special. According to Smith & Wesson, this serial number indicated a manufacture date somewhere between 1982-1984. The 586 models were the blued version of the 686 stainless models, however, Smith & Wesson did a special nickel plating on every 1 in 10 of the 586 models made. This piece is one of those 1 in 10 nickel plated models. This particular revolver is not in mint condition, as there are a few scratches and dings from use by the previous owner, including the most noticeable which is some pitting on one part of the cylinder. You’ll see this in the last 3 photos. I’ve included multiple pictures of this flaw so you can see for yourself and judge accordingly. To my understanding the “no dash” models (before S&W made any modifications to the 586 and 686 lines) are the most valuable and sought after by collectors. I’ve taken this model to the range myself 2-3 times and it performed beautifully. I can personally verify that the timing and action is in great shape. The wonderful craftsmanship of this piece is very apparent when you have it in hand and get to appreciate the clean lines of this model, as well as the smooth action of these early 80s S&W revolvers.
I’m mainly looking to sell this piece, but I would welcome trade offers and partial trade plus cash, etc. If you’re interested in this model please send me a text 903-258-1775.
