Our consignment revolver wears serial number 248838. All three serial numbers on the revolver match. Based on Colt's records, this one was manufactured in 1903.
Loading of the six shot cylinder is accomplished via the side loading gate on the right side of the frame. The barrel is 4.75 inches long. There is a rear sight channel and a fixed front post.
The grips are two piece black, hard, checkered with the Colt logo on each panel.
The top of the barrel is marked Colt's PT. F.A. MFG Co, Hartford, CT U.S.A. The left side of the barrel is stamped (Bisley Model) 32 W.C.F.
Most of the finish has been lost to age as would be expected. They cylinder locks up tight. The bore is Fair and the barrel is bright.
With the exception of the finish loss, there are no major flaws on this revolver and it's a great example of a First Generation SAA. Definitely a great addition to your vintage collection!
Purchase is for the revolver only. No other items are included in the sale.
